E-CIGARETTE REGULATIONS

In 2014, Councilmember O’Farrell led the City Council in unanimous passage of an ordinance regulating e-cigarettes in most workplaces and public places in the City of Los Angeles.

The ordinance was hailed by advocates as a critical step forward for protecting public health, especially young Angelenos who may become addicted to the nicotine contained in e-cigarettes, leading to tobacco use.
