Unemployment Aid Programs for Workers in the Motion Picture and Television Industry

LOS ANGELES - In light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the Office of Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell is compiling a list of assistance funds for workers in the motion picture & television community, a vital part of our local economy. 

“We are facing great uncertainty and pitching in to help out in this unprecedented time shows the strength of our character as a society,” said Councilmember O’Farrell. “I commend our partners in the arts and entertainment community who are lending a hand to help the women, men, and families who are dealing with a complete shutdown in all operations and production of our signature industry in Hollywood.” 

These resources are available to both above- and below-the-line workers in film and television production who are suffering from unexpected unemployment.
