Tony Arranaga is the Communications Director for Councilmember O'Farrell.
Tony worked in television newsrooms around the country. He started his career on the assignment desk at ABC News in Los Angeles, followed by several years as an on-air general assignment reporter in Tampa, Washington, D.C., and Phoenix. He later set his sights on developing a blog about the Phoenix light rail and the car-free lifestyle.
A Native Angeleno, Tony returned to his roots in California in 2010 to work for former City Councilmember Bill Rosendahl, who later retired. In June of 2013, Tony joined Councilmember O'Farrell's team to work with the media and manage digital content, as well as serve as the liaison for the LGBTQ community.
Tony has a degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Arizona. Tony is a proud father of a rescue dog, and in his spare time enjoys lots of long walks with his canine companion, biking, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
