Daniel Halden

Director, HEART of Hollywood 


Dan Halden serves as Councilmember O’Farrell’s director of the HEART of Hollywood initiative. Previously, Dan worked as Councilmember O'Farrell's field deputy for Hollywood, and in the 4th District, he served neighborhoods in the Griffith Park area for Councilmember Tom LaBonge.

Prior to his work for the City of Los Angeles, Dan was a field organizer at the Southern California headquarters of then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom’s successful 2010 campaign for Lieutenant Governor.

In addition to public service, Dan has also worked in the entertainment industry. He was an assistant to acclaimed writer Kevin Williamson for two years, and also acted in the award-winning independent film Nothing in Los Angeles, set right here in the City of Angels.
