Amy Ablakat serves as Planning Deputy to Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell. In this capacity, she assists the Planning Director and Policy Director with reviewing pending applications and advises Team Mitch on Citywide planning legislation and land-use policy related matters that affect the 13th District.
Prior to joining the office, Amy worked with a multitude of jurisdictions in both the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Amy comes with more than 15 years of project management and planning experience. She has managed a wide variety of short and long-term comprehensive planning, environmental, telecommunication, land use development projects.
Amy received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Planning, Analysis and Design with a concentration in Urban and Regional Planning and a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) with a concentration in Environmental Planning, from University of California, Irvine.
Amy is a Los Angeles native and loves serving the City of Los Angeles.
